Dwags are talking öööö about their players, won’t that affect their recruiting???

You should look at resale value and depreciation of both cars. Tech is not KIA because of message board posts, it’s because of the road performance. And you should never buy a Mercedes, you lose half the value of the car as soon as you drive off the lot.
That's not how Elite HS FB Players choose colleges to Play FB for.

The ESPN 300, the Nation's Elite HS FB Players are overwhelmingly choosing the same FB Programs to play for, so yeah, they are choosing that Mercedes-Benz often.

The decisions in your mind, don't line up with the decisions of Top 600 (Nationwide) HS FB Recruits, the level of HS FB Recruit necessary to have big time success at the P5 Level.

That answer above was great for you and your neighbors, not so much for the Guys we need to help us win big on Saturdays.

And the wheels fall off if you drive into Alabama.

GT is more of a toyota- meh performance-wise but degree is actually worth something and therefore holds longterm value

I've never owned a Mercedes, so I got no dog in this fight. But actually I thought they held their value better than almost any other car? Is that not true?

The maintenance is very costly. Mercedes builds those cars so you have to take it to the dealership to do anything. There are euro repair shops that ex-Mercedes mechanics open up that you can take em to and you might save some on labor but the parts are still very expensive. The C class loses a big chunk of its value after it becomes second hand. They’re entry level and therefore quality isn’t very good. Now E class or S class retain better value but they are still very costly to service and repair. By all means though get a Mercedes if you want one, I don’t have anything against them and some do look very nice. They are also very comfortable cars. If I’m gonna burn money owning a vehicle I would rather figure out a way to get an Italian prancing horse.

Every board is like this more or less. This is the nature of the sort of people who post on sports boards, not any particular fanbase.
