Dwyer Injury?

Hip flexors can take a long time to heal. This is not good news.

Dwyer aggravated his injury today.

Well. I'm gonna be a glass half full guy. JD will live at the beach for 3 weeks and lose a few pounds like CPJ stated he needs to do. Also, Watson, Allen, Drummond, and Preston Lyons will benefit from the extra reps. Add to that...JD will have rested legs when we start up in 3.5 weeks. I say worse case scenario we bench him for the cocks.

So it will it really take 6 weeks to heal? I dunno if I want Dwyer to miss the two nationally televised games.

Phew. Had me worried. If it was gameday Dwyer would be playing. He may miss a week or two of practice is my guess. I think he will be fine.

Well that's good. I hope he doesn't gain weight again though. Last time he didn't exercise much, he still ate the same and got a little belly at the spring game.

Don't worry about that. The guys on the beach do a lot of work. He will lose weight if anything.

Actually it isn't. It's a common injury that most people who've ever played football or sports in general have either experienced or been associated with someone else having one.

Just another prime example of people on here acting blogging on here like they know what the hell they're talking about but in actuality have never even played football but instead have mastered Dungeons and Dragons

I not be as smart as you, Bro. Cut me some slack will ya!! By the way, what the hell is Dungeons and Dragons?

:bs: I believe the term douche applies here (as with most of your "holier than thou" posts).

For the record, I played sports (the 3 major plus track a few times) from the time I was 7 up until I graduated high school. I had never had a hip flexor until this past softball season (men's church league). I had also never heard of it before today. So, just because someone hasn't heard of it, doesn't mean they've never played sports.

Well then you must be completely aloof to whats going on around you. Players get them all the time, and if played all those sports, plus watched sports, then you just weren't paying enough attention.

You probably stretched it and did not even know. It's what you stretch when you do the pelvic thrusts with one leg back and one leg up.

Also, you're very lucky to have played that many sports and gone that long without one!

I've been very fortunate to not have had many injuries. A chipped bone in my wrist (only missed one game because the ref that game didn't like my cast) and a bad ankle sprain (missed one game - played hurt the rest of the year because I never gave it time to rest) were the worst . My teammates have also been very lucky to have had few injuries - in fact our trainer commented on that several times in high school. But yes, that was one of the muscles we stretched EVERY day. I just never knew what it was called - it didn't really matter to me.

EDIT TO SAY: I also, don't really have a problem with the way you answered. I thought it was funny (though not completely accurate). I DO have a problem with the other guy's response. Mainly because it's the cause of Tech not pulling in our fair share of sidewalk fans (myself being one of course).

THWGNUFF_said is always like that. Take a look at his posts in the basketball forum sometime. It's best just to ignore it.

I love how everything is so one sided. When you don't agree with something you play it off to me being me and it's just best to ignore it.

Facts are facts. I haven't met too many athletes in my day that have never either had a hip flexor or atleast not know what one is. Bottom Line, it's a very common injury and doesn't put you out that long.

Point is, that people on here see injury and the freak out because the for the most part don't know what the hell they're talking about, etc etc.

Dwyer is already back at practice.

and to your point gth....all of my posts are what? Factual, that's probably the word you're looking for. Unlike some people on here, I don't pop off on a rant unless I know what I'm talking about and am familiar with the subject.

I'm not following you on the "cause of Tech not pulling in our fair share of sidewalk fans"

How does what is said on here have anything to do with that?

FYI...I don't know too many grown adults that are just "sidewalk fans"....you either are or you aren't. Now, fan of college football or basketball, etc in general is understandable.

But I didn't realize that this site was for the "pulling in of sidewalk fans"

When I think of sidewalk fans...I think of Fairweather Fans. They're the people that love you when you're on top and curse you when you're down.
