Per ESPN-ACC Blog:

Georgia Tech b-back Jonathan Dwyer is questionable for Saturday's game against North Carolina with a shoulder injury, according to a school spokesman. Obviously the Jackets would fare better in this critical Coastal Division game with Dwyer, but it's been a relatively quiet season for him early on even by his own standards.

He's got 168 yards and two touchdowns on 30 carries. Anthony Allen, though, has 190 yards and two touchdowns on just 14 carries. Allen is averaging 13.6 yards per carry. Wow. Dwyer is playing an important role, though -- he's drawing the defenses away from Allen. With or without Dwyer, the Jackets' offense will have to improve in order to stay in the Coastal Division race this season, and UNC's defense will be one of the best they'll face all year.

JD is hurt pretty bad according to the Kell HS staff. I believe he went and got treatment for his shoulder on Friday at Kell. They said he couldn't raise his arm past his shoulder. He told them he's playing this weekend no matter how bad the pain is.

I posted this because everyone was saying that Dwyer had a stinger. I played SS in highschool and have seen my fair share of stingers. Got at least one ever year I played until I started wearing a neck roll. It usually is just a nerve problem that can go away with a good Chiro adjustment or massage and some ibuprofen. Stingers don't make people miss games scheduled a week apart. It may be something more serious.

Did anyone catch the particular play that took out his shoulder?

Does it really matters. he gets hit every play by three or four huge Dline player if he has the ball or not. He got beat up the entire Clemson game. Maybe it’s a culmination of continuous hits. I like to see any of you stand up to that.

It matters because he is trying to figure out exactly the type of blow that caused it.

He got hit all last year too, but something is different this time. Trying to figure out what that might be.

The way I see it his arm doesn't need to go above his shoulder. Game time. Be tough, that impresses NFL teams.

Also ends careers.

Don't question a guy's injury. You aren't Dwyer and you aren't his doctor.

I may just be oblivious to something here, but why is he getting treatment at a high school?

Because the team had Friday and Saturday off. I'm sure he went to see his brother play and see his former high school play. So the staff probably just looked at it then.

Sorry, my school beat Kell on Friday... Hope that didn't bring Dwyer down.
