Each School's Greatest Player of the 21st Century...Yes, I did attend Ball State.

Yeah it’s pretty dumb. Could’ve picked from one of several Alabama players that won the Heisman. Instead, Barrett Jones (OL) was listed.
Strictly for impact in college, I'd be tempted to go Terrence Cody for Bama.

Gurley probably UGA's best.

I didn't see the title and was going to bitch about recency bias. Carry on.

I'd agree that CJ is one of our greats. I think Pollack for UGAY is laughable...he's a tool in real life. From HS up to now.
Pretty sure Pollack has an Uncle in the Knights Templar and/or the Illuminatti. There simply is no other explanation for how this knuckle-dragging idiot is not bagging groceries at a Winn-Dixie somewhere.

I think they actually got us right. UGA is wrong, along with many others, though.

Greatest is a loaded term. Is it most ability, best stats, most valuable to the team? Calvin has better numbers than DThomas, but a lower percentage of the receiving yards per season.

I can see picking Calvin, but I think Derrick Morgan was the best GT player since 2001.

If you want to use a baseball analytics term I'd estimate Shaq Mason would have the biggest WAR of any GT player since 2001.

I remember before he got on ESPN, 790thezone gave him a spot w/ Mike Bell on one of the afternoon shows. He was awful and they slobbered all over his backside. For the life of me I cannot figure out how he secured a spot on Gameday. I can think of 10 guys that would have been a better choice. He was a sniveler in hs (my hs) and was on an ego trip then...still is. Some ex-athletes are really down to earth (including CJ) whom I've met in person and some are just a-holes, like DP.

Herschel himself is not sure what century he played, why should other people?
This may be true, but I will say that Herschel Walker changed the trajectory of Gagger football, and without him I don’t think they could’ve attained the success that they are currently experiencing.

That could right, but the post said 21st century. Hershel hasn’t done much worthwhile since the 20th.

Agreed. I wasn’t debating time period, I just wanted to mention that the ‘next Herschel’ wouldn’t have been a thing without him, and their ‘best’ player was probably one of those next Herschels.

I'm actually pleasantly surprised by how many I think they got RIGHT.

Calvin is right for GT - why is there any debate??? I like Derrick Morgan a lot, but please! Calvin's ööööing Megatron!

Yes, they botched ugag. Besides the fact that I hate that tard, he isn't even top ten. I hesitate to say anything even halfway nice ever about anyone from muttville, but how was/is Pollard greater than Stafford???

They also clearly botched Bama. That's a joke. Also, I would take Sam Bradford over Baker Mayfield all day long and twice on Sunday.

And there are a few others. The most egregious to me is Texas A&M: Johnny Manziel over Von ööööing Miller? Is someone insane??

But I think they got the majority right - or at least close enough to not be worth arguing.
