Didn't read entire thread, so if someone already mentioned this I apologize, but I heard that University of Texas is guaranteeing all offensive linemen who sign with Texas $50K a year.

Anyone else hear or read this? Can Tech match or beat it?

Can Tech compete in college football free agency? And is there any point now in requiring football players to attend the university which sponsors their team?

Not UT, but an alumni group for allegedly nonprofit fundraising purposes. (I call BS.)

It was posted in some thread here, and I'm sure there are many articles on Google too.

Not saying Butker wasn’t way more than just reliable - just saying nobodyvelse since has even been close to reliable. Really need to upgrade punter too, but, again, comparing anybody to Harvin may be grossly unfair.
