Edsall

gets my vote
please post DRAD's email for me

He's be in my top 5, maybe top 3. I assume he is in DRAD's top 3 as well. I'm sure he would take the job if offered and could leave after Nov. 24th whihc Norm Chow couldn't.

My list is as follows:

1. Norm Chow
1a. Norm Chow
1b. Norm Chow
1c. Norm Chow
2. Jeff Tedford
3. David Cutcliffe
4. Randy Edsall
5. Charlie Strong

F IT. Hire him. Hire him now and hire him often and hire him later and hire him five years ago. OMG, what an embarrassment tonight. Maybe i should just work on my golf game. I'm sick of putting time into this team whose leadership sucks and stinks and smells and fart.s :ugh:

whatever happenned to mike cos without tc tonight? cox can run and we didn't even try it. GODDDAMNNNIIITTTTTT GAILEY SUCKS SHIIITE!!!!

Good call. He would be my first call. If he wants it, the job is his in my book.

FWIW< I'm an immature prick but i know more than Gailey will ever forget as evidenced by the production on the field. Gailey doesn't know squat.

Somehow, I would feel more comfortable with Edsall than Chow. Notwithstanding the Bill Lewis aberration, moderately successful HCs from lower levels tend to do better than coordinators from big schools and much better than NFL guys like Chan. Chow may be an offensive genius, but Edsall really appeared to transform UConn and he knows GT.

BTW, Jeff Tedford is a complete pipe dream. He's arguably the best D-1A coach, period, but even much more prominent schools like Michigan would have serious trouble getting him.

Why would Edsall come here though? He was only with us for a year before taking the UCONN job, and has no other connections to Tech. He's coaching in a BCS conference right now so he's certainly in position to hold out for a better job...

Also, Syracuse will likely fire Robinson soon and Edsall would certainly be considered for that job.... he played and coached for the Orangmen.

We seem to be obsessed with coaches who have received a paycheck from us at any time in the past.

As though they still yearn to return here.

What is with this Paul Johnson crap! This has been lingering since GOL left. Has anyone taken the time to reevaluate him? Has anyone watched or followed the Navy program and not seen the gimmick offense that he runs?

If someone wants to get Paul Johnson, please give us a modern synopsis of what he will bring to the table. Don't just regurgitate what the guy next to you says.

Edsall is a good, valid choice. He has built a program, and we need rebuilding. Tenuta is a reasonable and likely choice. Petrino is a decent thought (we endure one more year of Gailey and give him enough time to fail in the NFL and he could come to us without even moving).

How about Ty Willingham? This would be a poetic move. I would support him.

How about George Godsey? I guarantee he is a head coach somewhere, someday. Why not just preempt the inevitable? I took Sr. design with him, I have seen him perform convincingly on a cerebral level. Fast forward 15 years and I will be screaming my head off for him to be our HC.

How about Terry Bowden or Jim Donnan? Steak Shapiro anyone? I know, Bill Elliott ... no? Dale Murphy? Dominique Wilkins? Marian Hossa? Quincy Carter? No? C'mon...

See below, I think serenity went away awhile ago.

I think we should check into Matt Chernoff's availability, then ask if Chan wants to stay on staff as QB coach.
