With eleven games played and a 7-4 record against a difficult schedule in the books, here are my thoughts:

Best News - a 3-2 record against teams in this week's top 25 - wins over Auburn, Miami, and Clemson, a tough loss to UGA, and one blowout loss to to VT. Attention Dave Braine, a team that can go 3-2 against those 5 can win nine games in a season!

Worst News - losses to UVA and NC State. We lost to UVA's worst team in several years. Those guys have our number. Let's make beating the Hoos a priority next season. The loss to NC State was the real disaster. What is standing in the way of us moving up the college football ladder is not poor talent - the winning record with the top 25 proves that. The problem is letting a home game against the likes of the Wolfpack slip away.

If you analyze the five games against the Top 25 you see the defense played great in 4 of those 5 games. They were at their best against the best.
