I'll miss Pam Ward. During the early season, when it's nothing but Big Ten teams playing cupcakes, at least her complete incompetence was more amusing and entertaining than the games.

There really should have been a Pam Ward drinking game. I've tinkered with one involving our local TV newscasters in the Savannah area - but who wants to be that drunk four minutes into a newscast?

Also, I don't see why we don't have multiple announcers. If you're watching an ACC vs SEC game, you should be able to select the ACC or SEC announcer. Also, hiring former players or coaches is fine, but they should get fined when they are on air being ridiculous homers, ESPECIALLY when they manage to bring their team into a topic completely unrelated.

I like the idea for alternative audio but instead of a choice of my team's announcers versus the other team's, I would like to have a choice of no announcers - only sounds from the game, the referees and the PA system.

The whole belly patting thing. She just seemed like a vacuous bitch. She also started rumors with Michelle Beadle. Like I said, good for a roll in the hay, but get out quick afterwards. ESPN learned their lesson and dumped her.

Yeah, sign me up for that plan. I remember way back the NFL did an announcerless broadcast. The PA guy was a bit more chatty than normal but I liked it much better than the normal dumbasses (apparently I was the only one).
