ESPN Bowl Projections

I feel pretty good about the Peach this year. I wouldn't mind the Gator either, truth be told, as long as it's against anyone but Nebraska.
 
Peach vs. LSU - we need revenge on LSU for the 2000 disaster. I still have nightmares about that game. We should have been up 35-3 at the half if not for turnovers and dropped passes. Then we couldn't tackle King Kong or whoever their QB was in the second half.
 
NO WAY VT makes chick fil A. Unless VT develops an offense by next Saturday, I don't see why any bowl would chose an unranked VT team over us or FSU.

I will be shocked if the Gator will basically be forced to take the ACCCG loser.
 
I don't want Nebraska either, but not for Beej's reason. #6 Big XII is beneath us. For that matter, **** LSU and their 7-5 record. That's beneath us as well.

With all due respect, we shouldn't think any bowl opponent is beneath us, even if we do have PJ now.

i.e. last years match up between the nadlickers and rainbow fairies.

In years past, this was a bad situation because the championship game was in Jacksonville - IE, fans wouldnt travel back to the same city twice. With the championship in Tampa this year, the Gator might not look to down upon it...
 
I don't like the Peach although it would be close, I'd rather have that than the GATOR, I'm tired of JAX
 
The Gator wants FSU-Nebraska.

If the Peach takes FSU, then we will compete with Clemson and possibly VPI for the Gator, and might slip to a lesser bowl.

If the Peach takes UNC, then the Gator takes FSU, and we definitely slip to Champs Sports or Music City, or worse.

Dammit. I really don't want to go to the Peach Bowl simply for the sake of getting to travel (selfish, I know...). Jacksonville isn't the greatest place in the world by far, but I wouldn't complain about going there. I wouldn't settle for anything worse than the Sports Bowl. It would just be an insult to what we've accomplished this year in my eyes. Maybe I'm wrong.

No, you're right. Anything besides Gator or Peach would be a real screw-job, and anything worse than Champs would be a situation where the ACC should really step in and say something.
 
The Gator knows that a Tech team that beats UGa travels well. We will also be the highest ranked ACC team.

I think the Peach bowl will look at the economy. If it looks like people aren't going to travel, they will pick us. Sellouts do matter to the Peach.

I don't think we fall farther than Tampa. Our worst case is VT losing the ACCCG. The bowls will screw BC more than us.
