I think we will be very good if we stay healthy. We probably have more depth but still never enough. Last year, we may have sneeked up some folks in a weak conference. Even so, I think we could've, should've, would've won the ND, UGly, WF and WV games for an utterly fantastic season.
The conference may be better this year. Losing Calvin is huge. We figure to be no better in the defensive backfield with the loss of Kenny. The QB position is paramount. We won't be sneeking up on anyone...to the contrary, we'll be the ones on the hot seat this time and we had better not get cocky, even against Duke.
Summing up, I think this will be a very good team that needs to stay healthy and play hard for 60 minutes every game if we are to exceed last year's record. If Taylor becomes the second coming of Godsey, I can visualize an offensive machine that keeps the defense rested while the offense marches up and down the field. Finally, as always, we need adequate special teams play. This year I think we may get it.
Not too bad. Ergo, I quote myself. I was right about how much we will miss Calvin and Kenny, but TB is not Godsey-like.
