The Georgia Tech Athletic Association advises fans to be cautious when considering the purchase of football tickets through non-Georgia Tech sources.
Tech officials have received reports of fraudulent ticket offerings and scams, including the sale/distribution of wristbands for entry into Bobby Dodd Stadium. These wristbands are not valid and a game ticket is required for admission.
Wristbands of any kind are not good for admission, and standing-room only tickets do not exist.
There have been reports of these scams for at least two Georgia Tech home football games – Saturday’s game against Virginia Tech and the Nov. 28 game against Georgia.
The Georgia Tech Ticket Office cannot guarantee the validity of tickets purchased through any entity other than the Georgia Tech Ticket Office or authorized ticket representative. If you have any questions, please contact the Georgia Tech Ticket Office at 404-894-5447.

****ing lowlifes. Had a guy try to sell me fake tickets a few years ago and it took a lot to not kick his ass.

For that you need to upgrade your ticket for a small charge. No hussle though, with latest technolofy it's pretty easy. All I need is your bank account number and pin code to make sure only you and noone else can use your ticket.
 
I think this is a ploy by our GTAA to get rid of the rest of our tickets. Good ploy.

I agree. Our Athletic Association knows how important this game is to our football program. If we can sell out the stadium AND have "standing room only," it will help give us more home field advantage. I know people going to this game who only go to homecoming games. It has to be closer to full than they are saying. The stadium will be packed and rockin' Saturday at 6PM.

I'll be there (can only make it to the Homecoming games unfortunately) with bells on. And then I turn right around to watch the boys take on UVA the next weekend!
 
I heard they'll be accepting these at the concession stands now... anyone know more about this?

I bought fake tickets to the Clemson game. Was NOT happy..and went ahead and spent the extra $$ to buy through the AA this time around.
