Fan of the week

So you Uber'ed from Atlanta to Athens? Or you were took ööööing lazy to walk back to your car?

I've heard of that. Once a week a lucky uber driver gets the Atlanta-Athens trip to make that $17.

I parked at my sisters apartment two miles from the stadium and paid $5 for an Uber ride from her apt to right in front of the stadium for three of us. And I paid another $5 for an Uber ride back. I tipped both and the First driver flipped out at a $10 tip because it was the first tip she'd gotten all weekend. Made me feel like I got ripped off.

You can call it lazy or whatever but it was 1115am and my wife would have been pretty pissed after a two mile hike.

Sounds like you had the right idea to me, the less time you have to spend exposed to that town, the better. I hate walking through the cesspool and still cannot grasp why so many people, Tech fans included, like Athens. Its alleged charms are completely lost on me.

Also, probably a good time to remind everyone who was there to get yourself tested.

Joking dude. Don't take it so hard. I've done similar myself.

That's that $80k-er lifestyle for ya & what a bunch of cheap-skates in the cesspool - shocker.

Can't believe I'm saying this, but it's actually not that bad of a town when it's not a football weekend. I went to tons of shows up there at the 40 Watt and elsewhere in the 90s and early 00s and always had a good time.
