Both of mine have to be from 2000.

Godsey streaking untouched for 33 yards and the score, and the Mutts having no clue who had the ball.

Daryl Smith grabbing the ball out of the air and fly his way to the end zone, beginning the great Sanford escape for most UGA fans.

When time expires on saturday and we see that look of disbelief on 85k retards faces.

The best thing about athens is/was a resturant.
When we'd have an auction close by athens, we'd spend the night in athens and eat at a resturant that would bring an assortment of beef loins to the table so you could pick the kind of steak you liked and show them how thick to slice it.

Other than that, not much about athens I cared for other than the road sign saying, "you are leaving athens".

As I sit here in my home office I would have to say 1984. Looking at the frame piece of hedge from that hell whole. The only time I will go back is if one of my kids is playing a sport against them. Other than that all the nadlickers can kiss my A$$.

1970 & 17-7..... The late Mike Wysong's TD catch

1974 & 34-14.... Wishbone hell for the puppies.....

Best memory....I was there in 1990.

Funniest memory (non football)....I went there with a Clemson buddy back in college. We were at a party with some stuck up, hot Uga bitches. 2 girls in particular were very bitchy. They told us to leave their apt because we were not in their boyfriends ugay fraternity. Their boyfriends finally straightened them out and said we were cool to be there. However, we decided that revenge for their bitchiness was necessary. We went outside and relieved ourselves on their patio chairs. As luck turns out...they both went outside to smoke about 5 minutes later. When they came in, they both made a "bee" line to their bedrooms and did not come out for the rest of the night. Me and my Clemson buddy still talk about that to this day.

To Hell with Ugay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seeing Dewberry sprint 30+ yards in '84 untouched to paydirt was especially sweet!

I loved walking out of the cesspool in '00 holding three fingers up, ala Goose Godsey, all the way to the car!!

But my FAVORITE would HAVE to be Chambers in '98 kicking the drought breaker, simply because it flat out ripped the heart out of soooo many nadlickers....THAT WAS GREAT!!!

TO HELL WITH GEORGIA!!!

My first son's graduation day, after transferring from Tech. Off the payroll, finally! :laugher:

as I sit here and look at my hedge from 1998, I cant help but think that game is one of the all-time greats

Other than graduating with my Statistics degree and getting the heck out of there, this IS it.

'74 - frozen, soaked, and happy beyond measure. My friend from Florida kept teasing them about their upcoming game at the Tangerine Bowl. The wishbone was the "perfect option" that day.

I was about to say that in 1970 I was in the old wood bleachers and Mike Wysong caught that picture perfect pass from Jack Williams right in front of me. I did not know that he had passed away. RIP A gritty little Tech player from a bygone era.

Wy passed away back in the mid to late 70's of stomach or colon cancer.

That was the day in Athens we lined Mike up as a TE and ran inside traps with Jack Williams handing him the ball. Smylie Gebhart, also now dead (2001), had a helluva game along with Perdoni. Chip Pallman, just as Tommy Chapman had done a year prior in Dooley's first shutout, had a great day punting the football.

Similarly, though I don't know the cause, Larry Elliott, 2B for the Beesball team from our era, also died about the same period as Mike.

When he was inducted into his hometown's athletic hall of fame last year, Raymond Blake talked about that Godsey run and how great it was to hear all those people go very quiet.
