Outside of the #B1G, #SEC, and #ACC, there's not nearly as much money flowing in as most fans think, and the ability of many schools schools to continue enormous academic subsidies is dubious at best, especially with increasing financial pressures and the coming demographic enrollment cliff.

I could see your question about NC State but that shows MSU doing alright given they are in a "metro" of about 50,000 people in the poorest state in the country. We are only at $56 MM.
