I think most on the board have expressed their desire to have Sewak fired. I'm just curious if there are any who think the o-line can be fixed with him as the OL coach. Also who could we hire that will work in our system and be successful?

I'll leave it to CPJ to decide if Sewak needs to be fired; but if Sewak is retained and the OL stinks as bad this coming year as it did this year, CPJ should be fired.

As for who could we hire for our system, the 2 OL coaches at Navy both have Georgia ties (Ingram - Iron City, Culton - Georgia Southern) if we can't get one or both of those to come to Atlanta, there has got to be others available.

Poach someone from the academies. Or KSU. Or Marist.

We should try to bring back the guy that coached our OL in 2014!

He is the Milton Waddams of our coaching staff. Someone needs to fix the glitch.

I think Sewak is coaching our OL just the way CPJ wants him to. Sadly, it is wussy techniques. That is why I will believe something is changing only if he is fired. Hell, on one of CPJ call in shows this year, he said in 2014 our OL was not that good. Unbelievable.

I have no idea why this obsession with getting an "academy" coach. Whenever CPJ retires, leaves or is fired, we have got to get away from this nonsense.

No need whatsoever to hire an OL coach from this system. Unless it is to gratify CPJ ego.

Pole options should have been "today" and "yesterday."

Might as well fire him - can't get any öööö worse.

I really hate agreeing with you.

+1. The OL needs to be coached to stop diving and play stand-up football. Too often, this ankle-diving technique results in the DL merely stepping aside or hurdling an OLman who's now completely out of the play.

Maybe that's what you need to do at the academies, who can't recruit monster Linemen due to service-academy restrictions on height/weight but this is P5 football and our guys are big enough to push other fools around.

Watch some of our "Big plays" from last year and, invariably, every OLman is standing, watching our backs/WRs run downfield for scores.

I don't know if this is CPJ blocking or what - no matter, it needs to end. I know this disappoints some Tech fans but we aren't Navy.

Are you bipolar? Just yesterday you were arguing that Navy's talent surpasses the vast majority of schools in the country and now you've come to realize that in fact Navy has strict weight and height restrictions that severely impact their line sizes.

So which is it?

I haven't really seen our OL trying to do a lot of cut blocking. We've mostly been on our feet, for better or for worse. But there's certainly nothing wrong with cut blocking, and it would be better than missing the correct blocking assignment, which is the real issue, and has very little to do with who's doing the coaching.

Hyperbole much?

You're always arguing that Johnson is the best coach of any team in any sport ever played or will ever BE played. I disagree.

Meanwhile, Navy's unranked-by-recruiting-services QB is a Heisman candidate.

Johnson's chop-blocking is necessary at smaller schools and worked well in FCS ball. It's not necessary here and to see our P5-sized OLmen flopping around on the ground like salmon is embarrassing and an asinine way to coach blocking. It really worked well this year with a veteran, mostly-uninjured OL. /s

Hopefully, it gets corrected in the offseason.

I don't know if they're trying to or not but öööö, there were always a bunch of 'em flopping around on the ground after failed plays.

Rewatch last year's Orange Bowl and mutt win and they stay upright throughout plays and the results are obviously better. I don't know if this is a CPJ thing, a Sewak thing, or a shitty-player thing...but it needs to stop regardless.

Can someone please get this poll to CPJ's desk? or at least in the media? Ken Sugiura? We should all hold hands in a circle in front of the Edge center in a starvation strike until something is done about this. #stingtalklivesmatter
