I had forgotten until today how much I hated them just as much as the team itself.

A few things I heard from them today:

"I'm still not worried." - After every score we had. The people saying this left at the end of the third quarter.

"Uh, it's not a big deal folks - she does this at every game.." - Obnoxious, pretentious FSU girl, talking about their flame-twirling girl who our fans were politely cheering and clapping for..

"Drop it! Drop it! Drop it! Drop it!" - Same FSU girl, talking about our girls twirling batons.

"Everything [Tech] does is a rip-off of someone else.." - Heard every time we did something we consider a Tech tradition, including the Budweiser song and Up With The White And Gold

"Gold is one of their colors. Piss is gold." - An FSU fan clearly unfamiliar with their own color scheme.

"Stop doing the Gator Chomp, you didn't go to school at Florida!" - The moment I realized how out of touch some of these idiots are with why fans and schools do certain things. Apparently if it's not the tomahawk chop, it's amateur and should be insulted repeatedly.

"They don't even run the option, they run a bull**** version of it - that's why we can't stop them." - I wasn't sure what to make of this moron.

Finally, I found this thread on WarChant. (LINK) Evidently, this fellow doesn't understand what cut blocking is and upon being educated, he declares "they play dirty and thats all there is to it and the little antics on the sideline by the GT players was really stupid did you see the one were he was a feeding the other player."

I personally find any sentence from an FSU fan that 1) Accuses another team of being dirty and 2) Ridicules another team for "antics" to not only be the epitome of hypocritical idiocy, but a potential starting point for a black hole in the internet.

Sixteen long years and nobody at Florida State took the time to write an instruction manual to avoid total implosion upon finally getting what they deserved at our hands.

Speaking of antics...I can't believe they didn't get a flag thrown when half their team was on the field and a number of them were taunting us in the north endzone.

When Morgan Burnett made a tackle i heard a FSU fan say i didnt know they moved Reggie Ball to defense. Then another FSU fan turned around and said yeah he couldnt run the wishbone.

Never underestimate the stupidity of the American public....especially those from Florida.

I can certainly appreciate your post, but what I don't understand is, they still seem to me to be head and shoulders above the uga fans that I run in to on a daily basis.

At least, FSU is only heard from on occassion. uga fans (so called fans) are heard from ALL THE TIME.

If I had my choice, I'd rather put up with a whole passel of FSU fans over one upchucking uga fan.

Just remember: the "Old Gold" is still at Grant.

RIP OFF?!? Don't they realize their whole war-paint/war-chant Seminole schtik is one big stereotypical rip off of the Seminole nation and Native Americans in general? :laugher:

The most telling moment about their fans was when the guys behind me cheered when Nesbit got hurt.

That's all I need to know about them.

Idiots.

I didn't have any bad experiences with FSU fans this year. There was a UGA fan barking in the urinals though.

This may have been the guy that got up to his seat in our section early but made the mistake of descending the stairs next to the students in the upper east in the 3rd Quarter. He tried to think of some witty comebacks, but he got heckled nearly to death. I'm pretty sure I saw his nose begin bleeding.

Most of the FSU fans around me were great, just cheering for their team and generally being as cocky as a favored team should be. I had no problems with them.

On the other hand I found myself wondering at what age it is okay to punch a child in the throat. Why is it parents think it's adorable that their 9-10 year old is acting in a manner that would get a grown man's ass whooped in an opposing stadium?

:laugher: What section were you sitting in?

Maybe I just got a bad batch (again) but every single one of the Florida State fans around me was an arrogant moron.

I was glad to finally see the stadium full, but it was full of FSU fans.

I am surprised I didnt get a flag for standing in my club seat 9 row up from their bench, giving them the finger and yellin for them to "jump around NOW!!!". Before rushing the field.

im ok with it being full of FSU fans this one time...mainly they got to see us rush the field and watch their team lose a heart breaking loss. i about cried when that fumble occured and seeing Jon Dwyer telling us in the south end student section to get on the field! it will not be easily forgotten!

I was in the south endzone and I honestly couldn't beleive I didn't get my ass kicked. There were 3 or 4 DOUCHEBAGS sitting in the middle of our student section trying to start fights with out people, telling this one kid that he looked gay all game long, etc. I just couldn't handle it; it was infuriating. Let's just say that as soon as that ball popped loose, they got a taste of their own medicine and apparently they don't like opposing team's students yelling in their faces.

NOTE: In retrospect, probably not the most classy thing to do, but I don't regret it because one of the little nerdy kids behind me was about to cry the whole game and I honestly wanted to pick them up and throw them out myself. Karma is a bitch.

I was in section 123 row 19-20. About six rows in front of us there looked to be some jackasses, but we're a loud group so I couldn't hear them.

Ah, okay. I'm up in 222 and fortunate enough to be in a small area where the attending fans seem to change every game, except for us. When it's a team like Virginia, Clemson UGAg or FSU there are a lot of visiting fans around us.

Oddly enough, most of the idiotic things that I heard and most of the things that made me want to strangle the collective fan base were all said by girls.

The only one that didn't actually annoy me to death was the girl in front of us who was very clearly a former cheerleader. She was the most passionate FSU fan in the area but the least obnoxious. Her S/O was the gentleman who lodged his finger in his ear because of our constant yelling when we were on defense.

I swear I would have turned to them and said, "Actually, it's the Perfect Option."
