Florida State . . . .

So you are saying that if we are at home, a random team can just decide what we are going to wear? So clempson could have nixed our white out, and UGA could make us wear blue this year?

Well, I'm sure we contacted Clemson and made an agreement before the thing was really agreed to.
Players vote on it, we contact Clemson, then the ball is rolling. I doubt D-rad called up there Wednesday morning, "Hey plase bring your purples, we're whiting out tomorrow night."

Plus, they seem to like all purple on national TV.

Cept we have to agree to it.

You're right, we would have to agree.

Since LSU and MS play on a regular basis LSU had to give up the white jerseys while playing at MS so LSU could wear white when MS comes to Baton Rouge. I guess MS could not agree next year at Baton Rouge and really piss off LSU.:laugher:

I thought JOJAKT had covered it but I guess not.

By rule, everyone wears colors at home and whites on the road.

These are the exceptions:
1) If you want to wear WHITE at home, you must obtain the permission of your opponent(s) BEFORE the beginning of the season. So sometime this past summer we called or faxed all our home opponents for permission, and I'd guess they all said "yes". This has been the case for a couple of decades now. The "GT-LSU waiver" people keep talking about is a myth.
2) If your opponent for a home game wants to wear their COLORS, then they may do so provided both teams agree and the conference certifies the colors are sufficiently contrasting. This rule is new as of this year.
