790 according to their website, didn't see anything about it on wrek though

107.1 sometimes runs the 790 feed. I might have the numbers slightly wrong. It is "South107".

WREK has a surprisingly good broadcast radius for only having 40,000 watts. You should be able to catch the game well well outside the perimeter on 91.1.

Here are the basics for listening to the game at night:

107.1 "South 107", is an excellent choice if you live up 75 from middle of Cobb county going north toward Rome and Dalton. The carry every football and men's basketball game, but do not carry the weekly coaches call-in radio show.

WREK-FM (91.1), carries "all nighttime" football games in August and September, then will carry games that start at 3:30 p.m. or later, once the time changes. It's signal covers most of the city inside 285, and stretches into parts of Cobb County and west along I-20. WREK's signal is not great going east (Conyers, etc.).

WIMO is an AM station in Winder, that does not have a great nighttime signal (less than 2,500 watts) as I recall. But good station to dial up in late November when the Jackets play in Clarke County.

Lastly, and perhaps the best option if you're at home or on the road is XM Radio. Tomorrow night's game is on XM 190. If you enjoy listening to games, it easily pays for itself in one fall of college football.

Hope that helps...

Sleep tight folks, toe meets leather in less than 24 hours...

We are going to 100,000 watts soon and yes, the game will be on WREK...

Wes, I mentioned WIMO (pronounced why-mo :) because Belly lives in Winder.

Good info for the rest. I've had to use 91.1 in the past for night basketball games.

Who listens to radio anyways? Do you guys hibernate to the woods for gamedays?

The internet streams are on 790's and WREK's websites.

Actually, we were told that the games won't be streaming from either of those sites. Just a pay-per-listen site.

DRad the other day.

They've got some pay scheme set up to listen to the games online, much like what MLB does.

Also, GTKyle, some of us do things on Saturdays other than sit at our computers. Yardwork, soccer games, etc--so nice to have a pocket radio to listen to the games, while doing these other things. Plus, also nice to have while at the stadium as well.

My mp3 player does not have am, but does have fm...was thinking of bringing it to the game to listen to Wes...so glad to hear that WREK will be covering so I can listen inside the stadium.

Kyle,

With regard to your hibernation comment. Thursday afternoon is one of three weekly dialysis sessions for my 83 year-old mother, who also has a number of other serious health issues. Since 4.5 hours of dialysis is very physically debilitating for her I choose to frequently spend the evening with her. She does not have a computer but is a big GT fan and follows GT teams on tv when possible. Since this game is not televised I hope to pick it up on her Bose outfit for our mutual enjoyment.

Your attitude on here is ,hopefully, more relaxed and mouthy than you display in class and in job interviews. The acerbicity you exhibit is going to give you some rude experiences in the business world if you behave the same way . Whether you like it or not a lot of us old farts are still in control in the business world and will fire your smart-ass generation whatever fanny in a nano-second rather than have you screw up a valuable team or client relationship.

Learn to be a lot more tolerant Kyle, it will benefit you at least as much as your presumed technical brilliance.

goldeagle ... I interpret the majority of Kyle's posts as an attempt to be funny, including that one. I never take them seriously or personally.

Concerning the pay for streaming thing ... I don't like it. We need all the fans we can get and if that excludes just a few, it will be bad.

I don't see how anyone could be offended at GTKyle's comment on "hibernation," except for maybe some north Georgia brown bears.

Yes, Kyle is often a dick, but that one didn't strike me as out of order in the least.

All that said, it's pretty awesome you've got a mid 80s grandmother that likes Tech football. Give her the best for me. Curious - do they make Tech paraphernalia targeted towards her demographic?
