I had to sell my tickets at two days ago because I found out I had a business meeting Friday morning I could not miss. Its hard to tell how the crowd was on TV. Was it loud? Did the crowd show up? Or was it wine and cheese night underneath the stands? What was the overall mood?

Crowd big and excited at first.

The only problem was Miami sucked (or we rocked) and the game (realistically) was over in second Q and with that the loud noise.

That was the best atmosphere I've seen at Tech in awhile. The "Yellow" "Jackets" cheer between the East and West stands was outstanding. The team played so well that the fans stayed thoroughly engaged for the 1st three quarters (the 4th was mop up duty and celebration time) so the crowd was a little less intense, but overall, I was pleased.

The whiteout was far more successful than I anticipated it being, although not quite as impressive as PSU's version, but adjusted for the GT curve, it was an A-.

IMHO, that is.

It was awesome! The whiteout went well. The crowd was as lood as could be. BDS was electric.

All American, were you at the FSU game this year? The reason I ask is that the crowd then was the best all year in my opinion. How did it compare?

I was at the FSU game this year. The crowd was great at FSU (equally loud), but for some reason, I felt that the crowd was more unified and in unison last night. I guess it was due in part to the white out, but it just seemed like the fans were all on the same page.

BOR

From the student sections, this crowd was a lot better than the FSU game.

I really couldn't believe my eyes, but I think there were people actually standing before the 3rd down on defense in the Lower West stands...

However, I don't think the crowd ever got as excited during the Miami game than during that last FSU drive... That still definitely was the most shiningest moment for the crowd this season...

Overall it might have edged out the FSU game, but the series where we had FSU on their one yard line was the loudest I've ever seen the place.

IMO thw crowd was more into last night ithan the FSU game. My dad thought the same.

The students did an OUTSTANDING JOB!!!

The crowd was good and loud, but the FSU game was much more intense. This was probably the second best crowd of the year.

Surprisingly, all of the Miami fans I ran into (which wasn't many) were decent. I think they were expecting to run us out of the place, so they weren't jerks before the game. After the game, they were just in shock.

The FSU crowd was great and more intense for sure, but this was a little more "unified" as someone else put it.

We got loud on ALL downs...not just 3rds. It was great.

the Miami fans in our section have been obnoxious a-holes all 3 times they've visited BDS.

I was in section 111 of the lower west, and if you believe it, my whole section did not sit the entire game. It was amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:bowdown:

Yeah, I wouldn't have sat on cold benches either!

As a student, I was more than impressed by the showing (noise-wise) from the crowd. I noticed an electricity in the air when ran into the stadium and it didn't let up until the game was well in hand. Excellent job by the crowd of working the cheers and making some noise. I hope this is something we come to see EVERY WEEK in the coming years. Imagine Bobby Dodd as a feared arena to enter!

I was in lower west. We stood the entire 2nd and 3rd quarter! It was awesome. I think FSU game was LOUDER because there were so many FSU fans, we felt like we had to be extra loud to drown them out. Last night though the crowd was definately more INTENSE and into the game. because of the weather it was definately not a wine and cheese crowd. It was all die hards last night. I'll take our 40,000 die hards against any schools!!!!

It was loud in 218 (the cheap seats) so I can imagine what it was like down closer to the field, especially when UM was right in front of the student sections. Definitely a good night, and a preview of what the future will be like. With regards to the Miami fans, the ones near me were obnoxious at first, but settled down as the game progressed, and one even stood and led a "To Hell With Georgia" cheer. One did make a comment that the GT band announcer should be upt out of his apparent misery, and he got a more than a few "amens" from people dressed in white.

Same experience for me - worse than any UGA fans I've encountered.

They're not even educated about the game - the guys next to me were calling their own starters (key players at that) by the numbers.

Crowd was great (really, really, really GREAT!)

Whiteout really was far better than hoped for - in fact, successful. Let's face it, as the Tech Nation, a "whiteout" or other gimmick is just not how we roll. Other fan bases will NEVER understand that, so f'..em. That's why we are simply better people.

The Jacket Walk wasn't well attended but on Thursday nights, it seldom is.

I don't know about worse than UGAg fans, but absolutely, Miami fans are terrible and extremely annoying to put up with whenever they come to town.

The majority of them appear to know nothing about the sport and just cheer when they feel like it's appropriate. For example, a five yard gain while you're being blown back to south Florida is probably not the best time to scream "Yeah! That's what I'm talking about!"
