Forfeit the '08 season. Let's just pack up and go home.

I think you're right odw. Not that he would ever be happy with turnovers, but I don't think PJ is too upset that the O got it handed to them. That should work wonders to motivate them over the summer heading into the season. Scoring 40 on the 2s would have just given them a false sense of security.

Isn't JN still nursing an injury? Is it possible he was being overly protective of that injury?

You know, thinking about this after the fact, I do believe that the motivation aspect of having the number 1 O stuffed by the number 1 D may have been just part of CPJ's plan to really get the offensive guys to work harder in the months leading up to Fall practice.

Even with the poor overall results by the first team O, there were flashes of the potential of the option, and I think we will see a minimum of 1-2 big play shots (maybe more) each game due to wide open receivers this Fall. It is gonna be fun!:D

He'll whistle a different tune after we rape Jax State.

I think CPJ put ones v. ones because he had a good idea what would happen.
As a good coach, I would expect that he knew what was coming.

I would also be surprized if he expected it to be as bad as it was....

Well, I don't think he was that surprised. He's been running this offense for a long time. He knows the stages of installation very well by now. Also he seems like the type of guy that would have no problem showing his displeasure if he was unpleasantly surprised (i.e. reactions at bowl game)

We, on the other hand, have only been following this offense for a few weeks. I think its mainly the fans that were surprised.

Is Josh Nesbitt capable of not fumbling? I just don't see how he can run this offense. I hate turnovers and in a possession offense, it is even more important. Does anyone really believe after watching JN last year and this Spring that he can turn the ball over less than 1 time a game?

he only fumbled the opening snap then didn't fumble after that if I recall correctly. He pitched it to dwyer twice that hit him in the hands twice and dwyer dropped it both times registering as a fumble....but it wasn't josh's fault. He hasn't fumbled it much if at all in practice either.

Not concerned with JN right now. Concerned with the OL. No matter who you are, if there is a DL in your face right after you take the snap you won't look good. And that was the case most of the day Sat.

For those worried about us not passing as much .. we might have to pass more simply out of necessity if we can't make the option reads right.

Ditto that. A very large portion of the busted offensive plays was due to a missed assignment by someone(s) on OL.

So you're approving of the assault, molestation, and battery of a flock of wild hens???
