Former player speaks out...

A player who shall remain unnamed but has graduated in the last few years was at the Jacksonville Landing with me and a bunch of my buddies Friday night, I saw him the next day at the game as well. A fairly recent graduate, he was recruited by O'Leary, but played for both coaches.

In short he is (and was) disgusted by the current coaching regime and says that this attitude is not uncommon among the players (especially the former players who can freely express their feelings). He thinks both Chan and Nix are poor coaches, but adores Tenuta, despite the fact he played O his entire career. We spoke briefly about Reggie and he agrees with me that he is clearly not the right guy for the job and hinted that it is as obvious to the team as it is to us.

Chan Gailey just pulled a Larry Coker...and foolishly punted with 2:02 left in the game, down 3, and with only two timeouts. How stupid can one be? Thankfully, he no longer is OC for the Dolphins.

Just as we are expecting our players to get re-focused and win....we need to.

Any other negative propaganda being spread should go directly to CG and Rad....if one has the intestinal fortitude.

"Speaks out" is totally the wrong label to put on anonymous 2nd-hand heresay. When a player truly "speaks out", call back and let us know.
 
After the Gator Bowl, this board could get interesting... and players may start attaching names to their comments. If we win, though...they'll wait till next year. :p

I think we've all gotten message that people are pissed off at Reggie/Chan/Nix. You aren't gonna create some new argument from the previous two games we haven't heard before, so it's pointless to keep posting the same crap.

Wow, so what I know a thousand former players who are unhappy with this coach. Even those that played under both of these coaches.

You wanna know something even more interesting? Most of the guys who were recruited by Curry and played for Curry, but were still eligible under Bobby Ross, hated Ross too.

I'm not drawing a comparison between Ross and gailey. Gailey is not the answer in my opinion. My point is I can form my own opinion about this coach without needing support of ex-players whose opinions are typically driven off of loyalty.
 
I think it's a pointless post and the comments are meaningless. It's not at all unusual for players recruited by one coaching staff to have a negative attitude about the new one. It happens everywhere. When Bill Foster left Duke the guys left on campus thought Coach K was the biggest fool they'd ever run across.

I would also wonder about his contacts with the current team as there has been nothing but support for Reggie to this point, except for some comments after the Wake game. I mean, when the team was coming apart under Lewis everybody on campus knew it. That's not the case now.
 
I don't think you have enough posts. You need to hang out here more and spend every waking moment on the board to prove to everyone you're undying love for football message boards.

Oh wait, you have 600 posts. Well, that's still in the gray area. But remember...I'm watching you. The next negative post you make, I'll call you on it.
 
he sounds like one of those players that laid down for ugag and let them put up a 51spot on us
