Agreed. And I understand the draw of going back to the SEC, but honestly he could do extremely well at Nebraska or Arizona State. Both of those schools don’t have the boosters running everything. ASU just needs a good coach and that program can take off. There is quite a bit of elite talent in Arizona annually, otherwise they just need to recruit Texas and California to fill out the remainder of the classes.

Auburn paid $21.5 million to fire Malzahn, and something like $15 million if they fire Harson. They'd pay Liberty the buyout for Freeze on top of all that? That sounds a bit like a stretch imo but Auburn boosters are crazy anyway. It's possible Freeze actually doesn't want to go anywhere.
