Article today that 3 freshmen linemen have chance to play. Mills likely to play. WR freshmen will play. Is this good or bad? On the one hand, seems we may have got some guys that are better than their rankings, however don't want a replay of last year with guys out there running the wrong way or blocking the wrong people or at times nobody. Or is it that the guys they are going up against just aren't that good. Will know more in two weeks as develop the depth chart. But even CPJ said it is odd for him to say three freshmen offensive linemen may play.

Can you post a link?

It's got good and bad implications. I have heard great things about Mills and he didn't look too shabby at T-Day. And freshman WRs like Camp and Dolphus have the build to be able to contribute right away.

That's good, otherwise we'd be starting guys who couldn't make the field on last year's trainwreck.

They need quality backups no matter what. These three guys probably won't start unless necessary. According to Johnson, all three can play and they already have the physical attributes. Perhaps GT has three Shaq Masons on the roster. I think Mason played as a freshman.

Or three guys who could have used a year of conditioning and growing to keep from being injured.

So we're getting reports that freshmen WR's and freshmen OL could potentially play? That doesn't bode well.

True.... But....

Meh, visit the hive if you want to see smoke being blown up butts.

3-9 made anyone ask WTF is going on with the last 5 years of OLine recruiting and development.

If our offense were a building, smart block execution is the anchor bolts. Experience matters. This doesn't make me confident.

And played like a freshman.

CPJ seems pretty upbeat and positive in that video. Either we are doomed this season, or he is still giddy that somebody just left.

Agreed. His positivity is suspicious since he almost never talks like that.

If you're all doom and gloom after a 3-9 you'll play in front of 2300 people in the BDS opener. He does this balancing act. When we're hyped af he talks shit about the team and when we're depressed af he gets all cheery and upbeat.

Parcells was a genius at that inverse response to results.

Fair enough. I guess it would also play on the players' psyches if he were talking about how they're not ready for this season yet, coming off of a 3-9 campaign.
