Fri 8/30 Games

Poor horses. Wamu is dead.

Meanwhile the Frogs drove down inside the Stanford 10 with under :30 to go in the first half, and they fumbled the ööööing thing. Tree ball, they lead 17-10 at the half.

Also it's ööööing game day. B)

B10 looking pretty ööööty so far. Minnesota loses to a UNC team without their QB. MSU needs a 4th down stop to beat FAU at home. Wisco needs a fluke bounce on a punt to beat WMU.

Both FSU and GT looked a lot better than most teams I’ve seen play Thursday/Friday. That was a pretty clean game. Seeing tons of sloppiness.
Just want this restated. Stanford-TCU is slop city. It was hard to appreciate it during the game because I was just trying to breathe, but Tech gave a very clean performance in a game almost designed to be sloppy and dirty.

These announcers in the Standford v TCU game are terrible.
Always better to listen to one team or the other's radio broadcast. More people should really start doing this. The apps are free, sports announcers are getting worse every year and the networks have neither the incentive nor the interest to improve it. Most college radio booths are pretty good and it's cool getting their perspective instead of the national network line.

Stanford retakes the lead. TCU couldn't capitalize after Stanford inexplicably went for it on 4th down on their own 35 and failed.

Man that Stanford take is looking rough for ACC. I’d be more confident trotting out against them tonight than GA State. QB would be the worst option QB 2010s GT had ever fielded. OL worse than anything CGC touched (which is saying something). One really good WR and they legit can’t even physically get the ball to him. All this with 19/22 starters returning.

SMU I think is a sleeping giant in this new world of NIL. But Stanford / Cal are likely to be anchors for this conference.

I don't know, I thought Stanford exceeded my expectations in keeping this game close; they have been almost universally projected to finish last in the ACC, and they led one of the upper tier B12 teams for most of the game.

Daniels didn't look totally hopeless out there, he made some good plays with absolutely no protection, on the run. They couldn't stop shooting themselves in the trunk though.
