I tried anyway to call into the CPJ show earlier. I wanted to ask about the young QB's and how they are coming along. Anyone heard or seen for themselves how either Jordan Luallen or David Sims are coming along? I'm assuming one of them will be the next guy once Nesbitt is going after next year. That would put both of these guys as R-Sophmores. Is one of them going to be the answer or will we need to try and pickup another QB?

I think we would see a real passing threat with Luallen - whenever that would be.

And I think he's got nearly as much straight line speed as Josh.
 
No love for Shaw? He has a good chance as any of the other QBs to take over when Nesbitt is gone, of course it will only be for one year.

Shaw has some work to do. Its not that he's not capable it just seems like there's a mental barrier that's keeping him from making the right decisions. Probably is influenced by the brand of offense he ran in high school.
 
Game day experience will tell. We all remember Goose Godsey's coming out. Boy quacked like a duck. But he came around in a big hurry and wish we still had him.

I was distraught when Hamilton left and Godsey took over. Thankfully, I was surprised. I am hoping that we have an interchangable stable of QB's going forward.
 
You never know fellas, we are always a class away from getting a Tate Forcier.
 
How is David Sims coming along? Where does he fit in to the mix??
 
I doubt they are doing much in terms of live reps in the offense. Go through the conditioning, and the drills, and then work with the scout team.
