In less than one month, more than $185,000 has been pledged to enhance Georgia Tech's football recruiting staff, the Georgia Tech Athletic Association announced on Monday.

Georgia Tech's Football Recruiting Challenge was unveiled publicly on Jan. 6, spearheaded by an anonymous donor that stepped forward with a generous gift of $200,000 on a match-funded basis, pledging to match 50 percent of the first $400,000 committed for the two-year program.

Georgia Tech set an initial goal of raising $200,000 by the start of football's late signing period, which is set for Wednesday, Feb. 7.

If the goal is not met, the Admissions Dept budget should be reduced by that amount and given to the initiative.

Actually the Admissions Dept. should have their budget and number of dwags cut by 75% and that amount given to the GTAA.
