Ok Hivered, so you are willing to see one more year huh? Well, in that case so am I. Bring on the 2007 Jackets, because the 2006 version has a broken QB and a stubborn coach and it reminds me of the 2002-2005 models which I wasn't that much of a fan.
 
I'd say both. We are better than last year IMO, but the league is clearly down as well.
 
But the contracts won't be ripped up before Saturday and the BCS isn't going to change the rules to take a spot away from the ACC.

Last year we were very competitive with the SEC. This year we've slipped. Next year it could all turn around again. Don't forget that last year we also set records for first round and total draft picks by one conference. A talent drain can certainly explain a one year drop. Let's hope that's all it is.

As to some of the other comments on this thread, I actually think we will be better next year. I think we will have a different style QB and more of an idea of what we can and can't do. I think our running game will improve and our passing attack will use more of the field, no matter who the new QB is.
 
I agree with 56 and BOR...we will NEVER beat Ugay under Gailey's watch! I am absolutely Pissed! I don't know who I am more pissed with: Combo of Gailey/Nix or these fans who claim the ACC Game means more. Come on! Why can't you win BOTH????

I am sick of this conservative crap! Techfowl on the Hive brought up a great point...John L. Smith is available...go get him to be the OC. He knows how to post points on the scoreboard. Ridiculous!

No one is asserting we cannot do both.

We had 4 hurdles to clear this year...and we have done 3 of them.

1) Win the Coastal Division (done)
2) Win the ACC Championship (will do Sat.)
3) Fix recruiting (done assuming they all sign Feb.)
4) Beat UGA (not done)

We hit 3 of 4 hurdles we have not done before...we will not stop until we get there. Starting over from scratch would be stupid.
 
Let me be clear. I agree with hiveredtech. Hiveredtech is right, 3 out of 4 things have been accomplished even if I personally believe this team is not an improvement from last years solely based on the level of competition. I've seen enough positive change to let Gailey remain the coach through this year, but someone needs to sit him down and let him know that blind loyalty coaching that costs us games will not be tolerated AT ALL!! And someone needs to explain to him the importance of UGA. There ain't a 24 hour rule. Personally, part of me feels that if Ball continues to play and struggles without being benched, that Gailey should be fired for blatant incompetence. If we lose our next two games, I would not want to be in DRAd's shoes.

I don't agree with all you say, but that definitely puts this game in the proper light.
 
I'm just praying you go away indoddwetrust. I don't care if you like the coach or not, but your constant negative attitude towards Tech is disgusting.

I apologize if I angered you or others...I want Gailey to be the head man, so I apologize for the anger. However, we need a LEGIT QB coach. Agree or disagree?

Also, we have to start using the middle of the field, Tight Ends, and screen passes (look how well it worked for the gaggers) to be a complete Offense.

NC - I once again apologize for the anger I displayed via my keystrokes, but nonetheless, I think we need a very good QB coach - Joe Ham comes to mind (if Friedgen wanted him at Maryland, that's good enough for me!)
