Gailey "unlikely to return"

I always I find complaining about officiating amusing, especially on Tech boards. It seems like every time we play an OOC opponent half the board says, "I hope they bring their officials because they can't be as bad as ours!"

I was reading this (link) earlier about some Big Ten officials being suspended, which I recall from when we played ND received some praise from some sections of the Tech fanbase. Since I hate myself, I then decided to read the comments section. Most of it starts off with Big Ten fans complaining about Big Ten officiating, and then a few pages later there's a SEC fan talking about how he wishes the SEC had the cajones to suspend their officials.

Moral of the story: every conference has better officials than the one you're a fan of, with the exception of the Sun Belt (c.f.: 2005 Alamo Bowl).

Dude, ACC officials had to go to replay to tell whether a fieldgoal was in this year, because they were looking at their shoelaces and got the call wrong.

Well, I'm not saying ACC officials aren't bad. Just pointing out everyone says the same.

In a way, each of us has an ACC Officiating Crew to face. For some, their bias for their own team might be their ACC Officiating Crew. For others, a lack of football knowledge might be their ACC Officiating Crew. For us, an ACC Officiating is a bunch of ignorant, blind men with yellow flags who want us to lose. But as sure as my name is JTS, the GT Nation can conquer their own personal ACC Officiating Crew, who also happens to be *an actual* ACC Officiating Crew!
