Pet peeve of mine is all the uni pics without pads in the pants. It looks ridiculous.Back in the days of yore, my shoulder pads wouldn't fit through a doorway cause they were so big and wide. I had big ass knee pads on my uniform pants. Nowadays, tiny shoulder pads and shorts.
They did not in fact select a different gold shade, it's still Pantone4515, but this was in the description:I’m not seeing where it’s stated a new gold was selected.
This seems like kind of a big deal to me. Does this signal The Hill is getting on board with utilizing athletics to grow the brand? The academic brand is finally aligned with the athletic brand.
Also this is the same gold we've worn the past three years so if you think it's different it's probably lighting. If there was an update to the pants the blue GT would be gone.
Pretty huge fail if they're doing a white out and not doing white out uniforms. Dumb. All white with gold numerals is straight fire.

I beg to differ. That will probably never go away.If there was an update to the pants the blue GT would be gone.
I think President Cabrera has a lot to do with that. He seems very supportive of all the athletic teams. It kind of does seem that way. One can only hope that maybe the wall between the hill and the AA isn't so high anymore.

And side note. Contrary to popular belief, Penn State doesn't wear all white unis for their whiteout game.
Didn't say I cared about Penn State, but they are the "grand-daddy" of white-outs and it has nothing to do with team uniform. It's all about the fans wearing white to support the team. I agree I like when the team wears all white also, and that all white with gold numbers is my favorite uni combo, just saying the uniform combo doesn't have anything to do with white out.Who cares about Penn State?
Can someone translate? What is the new "visual brand identity"? They make it sound like there's something new about the same old interlocking GT.
Who cares about Penn State?
When they redid branding, one of the better decisions they made was to prohibit any use of the GT logo that did not have white or gold infill. Unfortunately it was too late for the unis that debuted in 2018 and that we still use today. Definitely expect it to be gone when we finally get a new uniform.
Interestingly enough, that prohibition of a blue GT was reinforced with the new Institute branding guidelines. Positive stuff.
If we finally got it right then thank the lord: I was starting to believe it wasn’t possible. Now to see if it looks good on tv…They did not in fact select a different gold shade, it's still Pantone4515, but this was in the description:
"This refresh of Tech’s visual brand involved reviewing the color palettes, fonts, logos, graphics, and other uniquely Tech visual symbols to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with what’s at the heart of our new strategic plan."
Also, I do believe Adidas found a better match to that than in previous years because the pants do look to be the right color now when they've looked a little off the past couple years.
Was it?? That right there looks like the school says a navy blue GT is just fine.
Just messing.....I was just frankly surprised to see the all blue version with the others in an "acceptable logo colors" section. I think it should have been separated from the others as a "special case." I know it had restrictions listed but when I saw it as the 2nd logo in a list I was taken aback.I don't know if you're being disingenuous or not. There is a disclaimer and caveat associated with that particular navy logo right underneath that severely restricts its use for publication purposes, that white and gold versions do not have.
