In Tallahassee. FSU rescheduled ULM game previously cancelled by Hurricane Irma. Hoping to get enough chances to get bowl game.

Get UCF on the phone. They may want a chance at 12-0 and we may need a chance for bowl. Wait, playing in ORL on 12/2 would basically be a bowl game. Also, 3 ACC games that day would be nice for the conference, right?

Hell yeah. I'd love to see us pound undefeated UCF out of their delusions right before their coach gets hired away and they go on to lose some bowl they never deserved to be in anyway.

They know that's what would happen, too, and they are certainly too chicken shit to schedule it.

Early forecasts for 12/2 show rain. They won't play and we won't win anyway.

If their gonna have a chance to be undefeated there’s no way they’d reschedule. We’d probably be favored and it would knock them down several knotches of Bowl games with a loss.

I don't know how much of an effort was made to add a game to the schedule or what the obstacles to accomplish that are now. But if we finish 5-6 and passed up a chance to schedule a 12th opponent to get bowl eligible, it will be a major screw-up by Stansbury.

From what I read, the effort was made to get Ga. State, but required one of their opponents (coastal carolina?) to be willing to move a game, which they refused to do.

5-7 teams have gone to bowls the past 2 years. I think we would make it at 5-6.

I would try to schedule a team like UTSA which had its game against Houston canceled. It would be a 12th game and a payday for them, but a good opportunity for Tech to add a win.

UCF will likely be playing on 12/2, but it won't be against us. They'll more than likely be playing in their conference championship game, unless they lose to USF on 11/24.

We aren't playing them this year, and hopefully never again. öööö them.

This is probably true, but if we are hoping to get an exception, then why not schedule a second FCS team for 12/2? Finishing 6-6 under those circumstances would be better than hoping for bowl eligibility with a losing record.

We should secretly replace UCF on the schedule next year. Then just before the game, let them know we are cancelling.

We aren't scheduled to play them in Atlanta until 2020, so it would be pretty easy to replace them. They will probably suck again by then, so it might be better revenge to actually play them.

I misread an earlier post. I was thinking we were playing them next year. I retract my earlier statement.
