Game on 12/2

I guess Stansbury said on 680 today that they are having some discussions regarding a 12th game.

The potential minuses greatly outweigh any potential pluses.

What are the minuses? Some people have suggested it would be an embarrassment to us. It wouldn't be. The truth is nobody outside of us pays much attention to us

Pluses are we make a bowl or play in a better bowl, have a better record, our players get more experience, more exposure, MORE FOOTBALL TO WATCH

Whether we play a 12th game should be up to the players anyway. They've worked hard and this is their season. If they want to play a full 12-game season and potentially go to a bowl, that should be reason enough to do it

What, injury? I don't see barely any minuses at all. One more game for us fans to enjoy watching our guys play. One more game for competitors to compete. One more game to make the season stats look right (j/k). Would let us get to 9-4, even better than 8-4!

I see absolutely no reason for UCF to reschedule us.

Of the 120 or so FBS teams, we are probably the one with most downside, and least upside for them to schedule. Our terrible record with bad losses to bad teams like Tennessee means that they don't gain any additional cred by beating us, yet their season gets destroyed by losing to us. At the same time, our option offense means that we are far more likely to beat them than pretty much any another team with the same, or even slightly better, record than us. Finally the practice they do leading up to a hypothetical game against us at the end of the season is unlikely to help them in their post season prep.

I’d like to see us play ND. They are off and should be looking for a game to play

Well , we're skipping the fact that the AACCG is scheduled for 12/2. That may have an impact as well.

Just schedule Georgia State.

They actually already have a game scheduled that day against Idaho. I think the Sun Belt actually schedules all the way into 12/2 since they don't have a conference championship game.
