Longs arms kill you on the bench press. One way to combat the long arms are to "press" very fast so you don't have to fully extend on each rep.

Wheeler has not looked so good at the Combine. Per GT Sports Blog (and he was quoting SI):
"Philip Wheeler, Georgia Tech: Wheeler ran poorly in the forty, timing between the upper 4.7 range to the low 4.8 area. He looked stiff and sluggish in drills and did nothing to dispel the belief he's a one dimensional run stuffing linebacker."

yeah his stock dropped.

FYI personally always felt Gary would be the better NFL player...never really said it...but there is a reason why I have his jersey not philips.....physically and athletically he translates better. Worried about mental aspect and breaking bad habits a blitzing D can give you in regards to reads...

Thing about Guyton is he will be MONEY on NFL special teams. He is the kind of guy who can stay with a team almost purely on his value as a special teams player. Remember the VT hit? That's what wheels and size on ST's will do for you. Also recall him catching backs from behind? ST's are about speed, angles, vision, and the knack for anticipating plays and showing up in right part of the field, with the size and power to make a play when you get there. Big benefit for Gary, and a great reason to spend a draft pick on him.

Teams will hope he can further develop as an LB while he is playing STs. My impression was he was still a little bit raw as an LB leaving Tech, and still is a little lanky for the pros. Just my opinion, though. Big upside.
