Georgia Tech may not have a great coach in Geoff Collins, but at least he is a good human being. He really cares about his players, and he is not deterred from the vision and goals that he has for the team. We just need to decide as fans that we are going to be all in and support the team, regardless of what the rest of the season looks like. The players don't need to see all this negativity and pessimism--at least save it until the end of the season. It's gonna be a long year otherwise...

I don’t disagree with this. Can’t have a rear view mirror. Just keep driving. Get back on track this weekend against Kennesaw State and keep on winning from there. We are really close to being a solid team. Not a matter of if, but win.

I’m trying to stay confident.

You don't get paid $3,000,000 to simply give a öööö about 100 or so people

I still don’t think he’s had enough time to recruit FBS size and depth. But someone else needs to call the plays. Patenaude needs to go.

We haven’t seen anything yet in terms of negativity. Lose to KSU after losing to NIU and you’ll see it though. It’ll be followed by intense apathy represented by a near empty stadium.

Patenaude should have gone after last season. It was clear then that he couldn't get it done. Last Saturday's 3rd quarter goal line fiasco was an exact duplicate of multiple similar situations last year, other than Collins never changed his mind any of those times.

I think those hoping to see anything but sunshine and rainbows from Collins, at least publicly, are going to be sorely disappointed. I can only hope that he's considerably less positive in private with the team. I kind of doubt it, though.

Sorry, I don't feel like wading through 3 days of posts to find something on the topic. But has there been any discussion about going 0/3 on field goal attempts? I thought the new guy was supposed to be good from 50 yards, and just one FG would have changed the outcome. Were there bad snaps or bad holds, or any blocks?

I think philosophically this is who he is. He will not counsel a negative thought or a moment of self doubt.

Collins said Cimaglia is the guy from the 35 yard line and in. Stewart is the guy from the 35-45. No mention of any issues with the kicks other than Cimaglia slipped on one of them. Collins still has full confidence.

My take is that Cimaglia is probably going to be fine. He pulled one and slipped on the other, but he is a pretty good kicker. It looks like Stewart will try desperation long-range kicks because he apparently has a huge leg in practice. Of course, there is no one to block them in practice.
