Just as an FYI Geoff is not permitted contact with recruits at all, if memory serves. I don't think it has anything to do with the dead period because his position isn't allowed to contact recruits.

As far as anything else goes I think it is pretty safe to say that demjackets and 33 usually have excellent information. Wouldn't most of you agree? Given that thought I would certainly believe what they've said in this thread.
 
its my undestanding that his position at AL doesn't allow him to recruit regardless of whether or not it is during a dead period. additionally, Peek is not a prospective student athlete- - he is a student athlete at GT until released from his scholarship. Chris Jackson is a prospective student athlete.

first u are assuming they follow the rules

secondly u are correct if they do follow the rules

thirdly they don't follow the rules and this goes beyond contact during the dead period which is relatively minor.
 
Well, the folks in the great state of Alabama wanted Saban to bring 'Bama football back...starting to sound he has brought it right back to some familiar territory for those fans :laugher:

Not really. I respect both of these posters and all of their posts. I truly do. But demjackets as close as he is to "behind the curtain" still swung and missed about 18 times on the coaching search. Sorry, someone had to say it. 33 has been off too.

But compared to the rest of us, they probably still know and think they know more.

Guess DRad could have some pretty detailed knowledge of what to watch for from Saban from their LSU days. And I am not insinuating that DRad had or would ever participate . . . only that he had to know the character of Saban and his tactics.

What is that supposed to mean? When things changed I let you know, I reported what was goin on at the time, things change so what you first say can always look wrong in the end. I never lied or mislead, I reported how it was at that time.

I think I know? I know what happened, what do you want me to say? I know the people directly involved, I'm not going to just start releasing names till its resolved though.

BOR is correct on everything though, things never change after you report it right. If you dont believe what I post then why do you send so many pm's asking questions and input? I havent even logged onto the board since before Boise and I get back to have someone who only has negative posts it seems like say I'm always wrong.:laugher:
 
dem, what is the mood of the new coaching staff with all these recruiting defections underway? Is it:

a) Working hard to keep them and agonizing over the losses
b) Oh well if they don't want to play for us then too bad, I'll got out and get my own boys
c) None of the above

Dude, PJ was never on your radar, and I asked you several times over PM. Not once was he ever even being considered according to what you knew. According to the AJC (which I'm not saying is correct) Muschamp was never interviewed. Either we are getting lied to by our AD etc. or you were very wrong. So which is it?

I'm not trying to call you out, but people need to gain perspective when they listen to Internet Jocks (me included) that spew forth a bunch of insider info.
 
I reported that PJ came into play before it was in the AJC, I reported it the night of the Army/Navy game. He wasn't included as a strong candidate early on after initial contact with him and from which way we were leaning at the time. Muschamp interviewed, believe what you want. Does PJ meet the criteria we were originally looking for? No, we ended up going in another direction.

I think its B, they believe they will reel in a good class still. We have to finish pretty strong to accomplish that though.
