Fulmer. They had Mike Leach all but signed when they fired the AD, put Fulmer in charge, and he vetoed it. The old fart still thinks it's 1995 football out there
I remember when our 1956 team lost to them in Atlanta for our only loss that year. Tenn, with Johnny Majors at tailback, went on to win the national championship (and lose their bowl game). Really tough loss. That NC could have been ours.
We had the talent in 62 as well. A former player when I was in school at GT later went into coaching. He was somewhat successful at a couple of ACC schools before getting out of coaching. Before going into coaching he told me he asked Dodd for advice. Dodd, according to him, said "Never try to win them all. I did a couple of times and it really increased the pressure. Win just enough to keep the alumni happy." That probably explains a lot. Can you imagine bryant, D Royal, McKay, Parseghian (?), Wilkinson, Dabo and Saban thinking this way?
We lost 3 games that season by four points or less. 2016 was an incredible year with a win at Georgia. CPJ shouldn’t have been fired. You sound uninformed and frankly like a tool.
This can only help in the race for Jay Hardy. If the UT coaching staff is already on shaky ground, it's a big boost. Add Hardy to Clayton next year and we'll be in business.
This right here is where my mind at look if Jay Hardy top 2 teams are UT and GT then a UT team struggling early and if GT can maybe piece together some wins maybe able to shift the balance.
Their fans. Schiano would have made them respectable. Kiffin, Dooley, Jones, and Pruitt. So much for firing Phat Phil.
