Rushing yards per game:

(1) Air Force - 319
(2) Florida - 307.5
(3) Fresno St - 274.8
(4) Georgia Tech - 262
(5) Auburn - 261.3
(6) Navy - 244.5

I think before this weekend we were 16th or so.

And I think it's fair to say that of those teams, we have played the toughest schedule of defenses.

(Florida is getting 7.0 yards per carry to our 5.1!)

We are 50th in total yards per game (387.3).

And Air Force had a game where they scored 72 points, which may skew their stats a bit. Idk about the total yardage in that game though.

GT has also played by far the most difficult schedule out of any of those 6 teams.

The Miami game will frustrate me forever. Just watching them lose so easily to VPI made me wonder why we couldn't. If we had, we might be in top 10 by now, we'd look better overall, and we wouldn't just have like... What was it, less than 100 rushing yards?

Welcome to Tech Fandom.

I will forever be perturbed that Tech lost to UVA in 1999, while we were ranked in the top ten, had heisman trophy leading Joe Hamilton at QB, and they had their 3rd string fieldgoal snap holder in at QB due to injuries.

On a hook and ladder play.

As time expired.

Actually 2001 was the hook and ladder and that was Goose (who had over 400+yds passing) and lost on the final play

this is the 99 game

Tech was unable to move the ball on its next possession, and Virginia took control of the game, marching 64 yards in 12 plays with Rivers connecting with McMullen for a 42-yard touchdown pass play. And with 12:15 remaining in the game, Virginia held a 38-31 lead.

The Wahoos expanded that to 45-31 later in the quarter, marching 65 yards in eight plays. Three runs by Jones got the march started, and five runs by backup tailback Tyree Foreman finished it off when Foreman scored form two yards out and with just 3:36 remaining in the game, Virginia ha d a14-point advantage.

this is 01

Pearman took a lateral from McMullen and ran 27 yards for the winning score with 22 seconds left, completing a crazy play that put a fitting end to Virginia's wild 39-38 victory over No. 20 Georgia Tech on Saturday.

I was at the hook and ladder game

In fact in 01 goose had 39/55 for 486 yds. It was one of the best passing game in GT history. I would love to get a tape of it. The game was not televised but allegedly there is a bootleg somewhere.

Discount Flarda because they have been up against some real tomato cans.

Some would argue Tennessee/Kentucky are as good as UNC/Clemson (I'm not arguing it, just some would).
Not to mention we did nothing against Miami.
