Getting closer to the ole prediction contest...

So how do I get in on this? I think I could at least pick 55% correct, which would be stellar with this group.

Remember the statistics course? The larger the sample, the higher confidence level that you have in the mean. So the overall performance of several years would be more indicative of future performance unless something unmeasured like you were hit by lightning and suddenly became an idiot savant in picking football occurred. Given that last year's results were still within a standard deviation of the mean, that theory would be unlikely. It just appears that you were a bit luckier than normal, so I would expect a downturn this year.

Now you made me feel like a 40 year old geek.:mad: Or a six sigma clown. You and Lost World Florida (aka Chiefland), bring it on, I have a new dart board which will offer a decided advantage over the coin flip.;)

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I THINK you just click 'prediction contest' up above, then click 'make predictions.' It knows who you are from your discussion forum login. The mods will tell us when the games are up.
 
With anticipated help from the prediction contest moderators, I'll be looking to extend my record to 3 consecutive 2nd place finishes. ;)
