Go ahead and chalk up the beat down.

I don't care what BoR sez. I'm going to Maryland this Saturday.

There's an exhibit at the Maryland library on the history of postage stamps. Starts at noon and will be capped off with a speech from the Postmaster General around 2:45.

Your opponent missing four of five field goals is definitely lucky.

Not when 3 of the misses were 47, 48, and 50 yards. FGs from that length are not automatic for most kickers.

There is luck in every game. Clemson was lucky our QB got his foot stepped on and made a crazy handoff attempt. Without that LUCK, Clemson gets shut out. Clemson was lucky we dropped some passes. Clemson was lucky TC wasn't at full strength. Clemson was lucky Grant slipped and fell on one of his runs.

I'd agree with you mm42 on all those points; I'd also say that they all point to Clemson not being a great team. The great teams overcome luck; Clemson could not do it and we had to rely on it. We are probably both mediocre teams.

Just one minor note, hands to the face by an OL who is blocking on a pass play isn't away from the play. It's integral to the play.

HA. I'm not going to Coach's either. Decided against it considering the jawjja game comes on shortly after Tech.

Instead, I'll be at my house trying not to let my 7 year old know how I really act. :wow:

This is Tech football.

Strong work, BOR, strong.

One quesiton though:

We have an offense that looks so one dimensional, that if I were to detail it on paper, it may not actually have 4 sides.

But if an offense is one dimensional wouldn't it be a point and not a 4 sided shape in at least 2 dimensions? ;)

GO JACKETS!

I don't see how the SWAGGER!!!!!!!!! Coordinator is going to prepare this team for the ass beating they are about to receive. Until our coach removes himself from all things offensive, then we will continue to struggle.
fixed. you're welcome.

I'm not sure if we were VERY lucky, but we were definitely helped out a lot by luck.
and virginia wasn't with the bounce off the helmet straight into the defenders hands for a 25 yd TD?

this is my face after that play:eek5: actually more like this:eek: and then the one where you slam your head in the wall but that's on scout. sorry the english be so bad. is the innerwebs.

Something else to look at was the play of Clemson's QB; it was awful. While our defense played better, our secondary was still very, very suspect. Put Matt Ryan in at QB for Clemson and I think you might have seen something very similar to the BC game.

Put Matt Ryan behind Clemson's line and the BC game would have been more like the Clemson game.

I concur. If the officials let Clemson's OL commit holding the way BC's OL was, and you would have seen Clemson with 500 yards of offense.

Let's remember that only one of Clemson's field goal misses were from an easy distance. The other three distances were from 48, 50 and 48 yards and their one made field goal was from 47 yards. It's credit to our defense that they held Clemson to field goals at those distances.

Edit: Just saw that mm made the same point. Sorry about the redundancy.

clemson is also lucky GT dropped passes and had plays called back as well. Other than our own mistakes, we outplayed them and they out-self-imploded us.

The GT Clemson game was like a race to see who could beat themselves unconscious with a ball pean hammer first.

My point being that its an incomplete object on a two dimensional page which sums up our offense nicely.

Clemson is lucky the ref had a fast whistle. Otherwise, we would have had another TD and there would be no complaining about their TD getting called back.

We Cant Score 38 Points In 8 Quarters Against Maryland.
