ESPN was careful to not show during the broadcast that the place was empty and was aided by Superdome lighting. They never did pull away shots that shows the mid and upper decks. The closest they got was showing behind goalposts on field goals, and that area was empty. The other clue was the uga band echoing in an empty dome.

Had that been a game involving anyone but an sec team, ESPN would have had the sky cam panning the crowd between plays and the announcers talking about the place being empty.

Most bowls game were half full, the games i watched anyway. Saturated TV coverage and high ticket prices are killing attendance to live sports, especially college football.
