Gold-White-Navy uni for Loo-uh-vull game

Wrong shade of white.
We're talking about pigment here, not light.
Black is all colors, white is the base. Then you add colors.
Usually doing CMYK not RBG
That said, I think it looks fine
Pretty sure titanium white is a pigment.

See how they added a pigment or several to base white to make a color? You seem to prove my point. That's why there's like 20 different "whites".

My thinking is that the uniform is not just the fabric but also the gloves, shoes, helmet, etc. which have to be painted. I'm not trying to be Mr. Akshually but color coordination and matching across a range of fabrics (natural and synthetic) and materials is harder than it looks.

I completely agree with you
In fact I would offer that matching exactly a helmet and a jersey is basically impossible. The closest you can get is when you use that no gloss primer look, maybe in a dark green.

I'm just glad we're finally wearing gold helmets again

While we're talking about unis -- as much as we complain about getting our golds to match, did anybody watch the Jets/Patriots last night and notice how big a difference the green is in the Jets helmets vs the jerseys? It looked totally different. I know the shiny finish on the helmet is always going to look somewhat different than the jersey, but they just seemed to be way off to me. The helmet is a very vibrant looking green and the jersey is very dull. You'd think an NFL team could get a closer match than that.

Same exact green. The light hitting the helmet refracts differently making it look like a different color. We can do the same trick with yarn cross sections at extrusion. We can make a color look metallic or dull, depending on cross section.

Makes it difficult to match in automotive interiors. You have to match whatever standard they came up with. It may have been the dashboard supplier. So, you have to try to get the automotive carpet or cloth to match the dash. Not entirely easy and the automotive industry is much more stringent with color standard matching than the flooring industry.

I see no evidence they are even trying to get close to Gold on the jerseys.

Yuck … blue jerseys are ok occasionally but the blue pants stink imo.
Well if they smelled good after the game, we wouldnt have played very well, imo. They're supposed to stink
