I don’t remember anyone crediting CPJ for late scores to cut a deficit. I do remember many complaints against it taking too long to score. It is a completely false narrative that Paul Johnson was not held accountable for losses. He was and should have been. So should Collins. I am glad he and the players kept trying to the end. But, the defense was horrible and the offense made mistakes and stalled mid game. It was not a good night.

Problem is we gave their guy almost 500 yds passing and more than 100 yds rushing.

Lots of improvement to be pleased about. We look very competent on offense now. Penalties and turnovers have improved. FG kicking is consistent now.

The defense will get there. I think the D is better than they've shown because they've gone up against some very potent offenses.

They had a bunch of holding go uncalled. If they call one, maybe one of their touchdown drives stalls and it changes the entire complexion of the game.

Whether the refs call (or don't call) offensive holding is too big an influence on who wins football games.

It occurred on several Pitt drives yesterday. Pitt should have beaten Clemson by 1 or 2 more TD's, but it seemed the refs were invested in keeping it close for Clemson.
