Pasqualoni has the right idea and mentality. Sometimes things do work out for the better.

I can see many bright spots that could be workable. As stated previously, they have really gotten rid of a team that is a big burden on the Big East for travel. Like another article stated, "how did Miami ever become a member of the BE anyway".

If they get with some schools and work with those schools and let them have a say in the expansion partners, I believe they could do quite well.

All the present schools could set up a meeting with their ADs, Penn State, and Notre Dame. If Penn State and Notre Dame thought each other would enter the league together, it is a very viable possibility.

Now you have Syracuse, Boston College, Pittsburgh, West Virginia, Connecticutt, Notre Dame, and Penn State in the same conference. That is not a shabby start. Pull in Cincinnati and it looks better.

Pull in a Marshall and possibly a Saint Louis and the prospects begin to look good.

They always have Rutgers and Temple, and Navy could be a possibility. Who knows, they might snatch Maryland away eventually.

There are possibilities there. It is all in the perspective and ability of the leaders of that conference to be persuasive.
