Anytime you win on the road you should celebrate! Tech didn't play well overall, but still managed to come back and win. If we played a similar game the past two seasons we would have clearly lost. Ironically, Tech actually benefitted from the ACC refs today. They were shockingly fair! That seems surreal to even type that statement. However, that's how horrible the ACC refs usually are. Jeff Simms engineered an impressive final drive, capped off with Adonicas Sanders' GREAT catch for the winning touchdown. The Jackets' defense made a stop (thanks to Juanyeh Thomas' interception) to close out the game. Tech got a great deal of players hurt in this game, but hung tough and didn't give up!
As a result, the Jackets are 3-3 overall and 2-2 in ACC play. A bye week could not come at a better time! Hopefully, we can heal during the bye week and be a better football team when we play UVA in Charlottesville. At least, we have a chance still to win 6 games. It seems unlikely, but it's possible.
