You're right. I didn't consider the fact that the O kept the ball for so long and that really was a HUGE factor. I think, eventually, Butch Davis would have figured to just pass long. Maybe make offense a B-? I just didn't like the fact that we couldn't punch it in in the redzone.

I think you have to look at the sustained drives - they were huge. Our first three drives were 9 plays, 6 plays, and 8 plays, taking almost 13 minutes of clock. Then, we responded to UNC's TD with a 14 play drive that took 8:37 seconds. Although it ended with a missed FG, it was still an amazing answer, and was a big nail in the coffin for their D. Finally, two more drives near the end of the game for TD's, including a 17 play drive for a TD. These types of drives are rare, and pulling it off was great.

The offense deserves a solid B, only because the kicking team blew. But, don't underestimate how well we looked against a pretty good defensive front. We had two drives over 8 minutes, which is crazy.
