Great Recruiting Chan!!

I may have made a dumb comment on here without thinking and everyone has clearly pointed out my errors and I was obviously wrong, but for you accuse me of making a comment without thinking while simultaneously presuming to know me and anything about me based on one comment is just as short sighted my original comment.

You dont know anything about me and you're telling me I should be at Clemson. Well I'll tell you what, the fact that I have a Georgia Tech Civil Engineering degree hanging over my desk with the words "Highest Honor" emblazened on it would probably say otherwise.

sorry to offend you, dont take it too serious (btw i also have the Highest Honors on my diploma in Physics), but you apparently didnt even read what i posted about the academic consideration and instead blindly reinterated your opinion about it being Chan's fault, which is really starting to annoy me how many on this board like to kick him from behind.

recruiting was done right under Gailey and he help put us on track for years of successful recruiting, so that pissed me off.

take it for what its worth

Preseaon Player of the year Cullen Harper, from Alpharetta, broke 21 school records for Clemson as a freshman!

Runner up James Davis, of Douglass High School in Atlanta, has been a thorn in our side for the past three years and will surely make an impact this year too.

How the hell did we not get these guys? It's not like we lost them UGA. We lost guys not 20 miles from our campus right in out backyard to po-dunk Clemson 150 miles away!

Unbelieveable...

78 is right. How did Richt miss these two too? Right out of his backyard! And he's the one with the SEC championships! And the low recruiting standards!

Unbelievable...

It's just a message board, don't take it too seriously and get all pissed off whenever someone makes a comment you diasgree with...

btw, congrats on the physics degree. There's no way I could have gotten a physics degree. Physics 1 and 2 was all the raping I needed.

I saw an interview last season with Cullen Harper on CSS. He grew up a UGA fan because his dad played there. He was offered a scholly at Tech but was never interested because his family was die hard UGA. Those were his exact words.

James Davis was recruited hard by Tech...dont know if he would've been eligible or not. I did read that one of the reasons he chose Clemson was because he needed to get out of the state.

my roommate was Civil. when he wasnt trying to do his statics or working as a CAD guy on the side, he would be playing Sim City.

he is now a big time project guy in Baltimore for one of the big construction firms there

did you know Dr Sanders? he was the dad of a friend of mine. i think used to be head of Civil

Yeah I believe he was. By the time I got there Dr. Jacobs was the big dog for the Civil department. I definitely remember people mentioning Dr. Sanders though.

Chan had the best recruiting class ever here at GT 2 years ago with Nesbitt,Dwyer,Morgan,Peters,Burnette exct. exct.

I think "ever" is a bit steep. "This Century" I'll buy, but George had some good classes too.

If you saw where he grew up you would know why.

Davis, so far, is pulling off the classic "work my butt off to rise above the ghetto." I know his aunt and uncle, and have consequently met JD on more than one occasion.

do know uga? they obviously didn't want somebody they didn't get...

I did, as did most others....and he was. Get over it already.

I wonder how folk who feel he wasn't a good coach explain that he continues to be a fairly hot name for OC in the NFL. I mean, how do you get jobs at Pittsburgh, Dallas, Miami and Kansas City in 15 years w/o being recognized as competent in what you do? It's not like he doesn't have a large body of work to evaluate.

Chan is an NFL coach. That is his (now) ingrained approach to the game. He is where he needs to be, and he will do well.
