Green Wave Prediction Thread

These games that seem over before they start can really come and bite you in the ass. I'm trying to find a reason to not be overconfident. But it's really tough in the matchup. They've scored 23 points total over their last 4 games. That's under a TD/game. And our offense seems to be picking up where it left off albeit against Alcorn St (but is Tulane going to be that much better?). Trying to find a reason for it to be close at half and within reach given turnovers/mistakes. But I just can't.

28-6 GT at half
49-16 GT

Adam Gotsis's interview where he specifically mentioned how Tulane was close to beating them last season assuaged my concern on our players' focus or lack thereof.

Yea, I'm not worried about focus, I'm worried about the 2nd-and-4th-quarter-back making plays.

I went through the play-by-play of last year's game as I had forgotten a lot of it. We really dodged a bullet there.

Fumbled on the first play of the game to hand them a TD, gave up a TD drive, and then fumbled on the first play of the 3rd drive. If we hadn't stopped them there we would be down 21-7 before the 1Q was over - we did and they missed the FG. And then we still needed a pick-6, 2 more INTs, and a blocked punt to stretch the margin to 38-21.

öööö, still hard to believe the same team that was basically tied with Wofford/Tulane at half and barely slipped past GA Southern went on to dominate the 2nd half of the season.

GT 48
Tulane 6

1st team defense gets a lot more reps (plays into the 3rd). JT plays one half.

Tulane scores first, goes up 7-0, we give the ball back on our next drive and they either get a field goal or turn it over. That wakes us up, we turn the burners on and Tulane only scores once more in the game.

41-17 Good Guys.

56-24.

Our 1st string defense plays exceptionally well, giving up only 7.
Our 2nd string defense plays only the second half, giving up 17.
Our 1st string offense puts up 42. In the first half.

Either way, we couldn't stop Sirk from running wild and we are about to face a guy that gained 20+ per carry last week.

:rotfl:

CPJ does everything he can not to tip his hand to Notre Dame... Doesn't stop us from scoring points in boatloads.

56-10

45-7 best thing the greenies have going for them is.......NAW OLINS
