Interesting. I know zip about Louisville. How is their run D? Do they have a good offense?

From what I saw of the Louisville/FSU game, they're really bad. So we must be pretty bad too.

Surprising, unless their qb from the fsu game got hurt, we are going to have trouble. He could hit the slant across the middle and was very mobile. We haven’t handled either of those things well.

And until I see our ol actually get some push on a called dive past the first quarter, I don’t see us moving the ball well against a not shitty team.

In short, until our ol or defensive front 7 show they can handle a team not nursing a 3 td lead, I’m skeptical.

This is all fair. We are a better team than Louisville and should beat them, but we were also better than Pitt and USF.

We weren’t a better team than usf. We also weren’t better than Pitt. We have been a sloppy team the last two years. We should be a better team than usf and pitt, but we don’t do the little things like keeping the ball high and tight when running. That cost us the game against usf and tennessee.

We are more talented than duke, but they don’t do the dumb shit we do. We weren’t always this way. The Tevin years we were less talented due to the shift in systems and a few burned classes. But we didn’t beat ourselves by being sloppy. That is new. We used to be at the bottom of penalties per game. We aren’t now, even with less snaps.

Losing the game doesn't make you a worse team. We beat teams better than us and lose to worse teams than us pretty much every year.

Agree with everything else you said, though.

How are you defining ‘better’? Toss in the starters of all three teams and pick the best 33 (to include ST). Are more than 11 GT players? No, even if you are picking guys for the option.

Did we play more disciplined football? No.

Did we make more dumb coaching decisions? Yes.

We have fully earned our 2-3 start. Until we accept that we weren’t the better team in 3 of our games this year, we will continue to pile up losses. We have to become a better team by doing things better.

I would take Louisville and the points.

Good news, Tech fans. I am 0-5 picking GT games ATS in 2018.

Fun fact: This is the first time Tech has played a Friday game since 1994 when we played Georgia the day after Thanksgiving.

Not so fun fact: both the 1994 and 2018 GT teams suck butthole

I think we will win if cpj stays on as the qb coach. TM has the talent, he just has to make better decisions.

Our D will come around. It is a better system than Roof’s for the ACC.

ST will remain a shit show until the kickers come around.

I think this is probably an overstatement of how CPJ increased his participation this past week. But I don't know. I would be curious to have more detailed information about exactly *how* CPJ got more involved this past week. He seemed to think that whatever he did, it helped.

We're talking past each other...

Clearly we weren't the better team on the day of the game. We earned our 2-3 start by playing some pretty bad football at times. I'm just saying that over the course of the season, I think time will show that we are a better team than Pitt or Louisville.

Going to cheer the white and gold. Certainly think we can and will win. But how can a team with a R-SR QB who has never won a road game be favored on the road. Putting my time and voice on the line but wouldn't bet that line. Think the line has got to change.

Louisville looked okay, since they were playing the college football equivalent of a severe burn victim. But Petrino is a bad coach. Like should be coaching at Tennessee bad. They should have beaten FSU.

I will say this with full understanding of how ugly our team is right now - we’re the best team that Louisville has faced this season so far.
