First half defense was an abomination like the second half against Miami because they simply could not stop the draw play/read option. I'm guessing that's largely because with Mitchell out the linebacking corps has been struggling with their gaps. It seemed like Roof called more run blitzes in the second half as a workaround, and that did the trick against Wake. You can't have a steady diet of that against Clemson, though, so get well soon Mitchell.
Tech's secondary is going to be so good by the end of the year. Kudos to Griffin for proving he can catch a ball thrown to him.
Offense just eventually wore Wake out. They're the rare P5 team that probably has less depth than Tech, and by the time the Fourth Quarter rolled around they were out of gas.
