Under CPJ, were 0-3 when favored in bowl games (LSU, Iowa, Utah) and 2-2 when an underdog (Air Force, USC, Ole Miss, MissSt)

Was that the game that freshman Zach Laskey also dropped a punt?

***Fixed to Daniel Butterfingers McKayhan*** - apologies to Melton. Nah Laskey didn't fumble in that one, but it was on of the most depressing games of GT football I've ever watched. Nesbitt was out with the broken arm from the VT game. Hill/Edwards were out with academic suspensions. Young and a few others were suspended the 1st half b/c of missing curfew. And we still dominated the game - held them about 150 yards under their rushing average. But we fumbled the opening drive of the 2nd half inside their 10 up 7-6. Then McKayhan muffs 2 punts in the span of about 5 minutes to hand them a TD from inside the 5. Then we throw a redzone INT on 3rd and short driving to tie the game. And now that gets to be used as a data point that 3 weeks to prep for the option can stop it. :eekfacepalm:

Sigh, I had that game erased from my memory bank until now... one of the more depressing games I can remember watching. Crappy bowl game and completely gifted the game to the opponent.

More depressing than 2009 UGA and 2012 Miami?

More depressing than 2009 UGA and 2012 Miami?

'09 UGA ranks at the top no question. CPJ has even commented on that one. '12 Miami was a downer but not as bad as Air Force for me.

I have some other games in mind but I'd rather not turn this into a Debbie downer thread. A win over Kentucky would make 3 out of 4 for GT bowl games.

'12 Miami was a downer
There was plenty of despair to go around from that Miami game but mostly it was just a deep, indescribable confusion. That game made me feel emotions which were in no way related to sports, like it short-circuited my soul.

It is too late for that now. Far too late.
