GT Caravan came to Macon tonight. I asked PJ in private about the discussion between him and Charlie Weis at the ND/Navy game. He said Weis did not tell him he was a good coach but Navy just couldn't win.

Saw some fellow Stingtalkers there, including BuzzMD. Good stuff.

I was there too. Always a good time hearing comments from the coaches. I drove down today just to attend and enjoyed getting a chance to talk to CPJ.

Yeah, had a great time last night.

Of notes I can remember, CPJ said the OL, next to Nesbitt, improved the most over spring training...that was impressive to me to hear for both facts -- that the OL and Nesbitt were improved.

Said Blair will probably stay as kicker, but probably new punter will take punts. but was hedging a bit when he said this.

I think I said this last year, but I will say it again. I think we have a winner in Coach Joseph. She has a great excitement and passion and it shows when she talks. She honestly thinks next year they will see the Sweet 16/Elite 8.

Oh, 1 other thing--Hewitt gushed and gushed about Daniel Miller. He also said Shumpert going to several elite camps this summer -- as is Sheehan (and said Sheehan has one job this summer -- gain weight.)

He did NOT tell him he was a good coach?

haha. I told him I'd heard about a conversation between him and Weis and was wondering if it was true. He said, "it depends on what you heard." After I told him, he said, "Nah, Charlie didn't say that."

Also, I removed the story about the Ugag conversation. I wanted to put it up long enough for Stingtalkers to read it but then deleted it so hopefully it wouldn't get posted on ugag's lockerroom. I wouldn't have even posted it except for the fact there were at least two news guys in the room, including one who is a big ugag fan that has his own show on ESPN radio in Macon. I figured PJ evidently didn't care too much if the story got out.

BTW, in case you all did not know, Bill Shanks show which was on ESPN radio in Macon (105.5) -- well he was fired from there in the spring.

But he now has a new show on 1670 am from 3 to 6 pm -- and that is why he was there last night. Despite him being a UGag fan, he pretty much does local sports well -- and Skip and Russ keep him in check, with both of them being Tech fans.

I can't see him being the type to get scared just because U[sic]GA has some billboard material(which I happen to think is way overrated...when it's a big game, I think the players are trying 100%...don't think there is a 110%.) But it was a good story .
